Report an Issue

Do you need to report an issue to the City? You can report things like potholes or sidewalk issues, overgrown weeds, graffiti removal, and much more.

Palo Alto 311 is a multi-platform solution for providing Palo Alto residents, businesses, and visitors access to a set of local government-provided services, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

Online

Step 1.Understand what you can report

  • Potholes
  • Broken sidewalk
  • Overgrown weeds
  • Graffiti removal
  • Code enforcement issue
  • Missed street sweeping route
  • Broken drinking fountain
  • Broken street lights
  • Debris on the road
  • Clogged storm drain
  • Fallen tree or branch
  • Abandoned bicycles or shopping carts
  • Much more

Step 2.Gather relevant information

  • Depending on the type of request, you will be asked for issue location, description and an optional photo.
  • If the issue is not at a specific address, make sure to let us know in the description where the issue is located. For example, if you are reporting a broken water fountain, a park may have multiple water fountains and it is helpful to know which water fountain it is and what it is near.
  • Photos are not required to submit a service request, but they are strongly encouraged as they are very helpful with identifying the problem. A picture is worth a thousand words!
